Scandals, Hampshire Terrace:
tiny dancefloor with a low ceiling. Mind your head!

Friscoīs, Seafront:
They say it also might be quite good. We only came across very old sailors and suitable old - should we say? - women.

5th Avenue, Seafront:
the best venue in town with two dancefloors. Monday evenings for students (ID necessary!); Wednesday once a fortnight: 80īs night; Fri./ Sat: no Jeans!

Look out for vouchers behind the counter - they reduce entrance fee considerably!

Bassment/Zoom, Seafront:
cheap intermediate stop before you make a move to another club.

Joanna’s, Seafront:
Go there only when you are looking for a one night stand.

The Pier, Seafront:

Gaiety Showbar on Fri.: Students Night

Albert Tavern on Sat: for different people who like to swing their long hair in a groovy atmosphere.

Martineīs, Guildhall Walk:
several floors and many bars; they play everything from 60īs music to rave. No Jeans on Saturdays! Leave Ellie Jays/ Mucky Duck before 10:30 and you get in for 4 pounds on Fri.

The Regal Palace, Kingston Rd.:
has 3 dancefloors and 5 bars, unfortunatley itīs only open Fri & Sat.: It would be enjoyable on every day of the week. Ģ5 B4 11pm, Ģ6 after!

The Garage, Museum Rd.:
The nightclub of the Student Union; First queue up for tickets, then queue to get in.

Never go home with a student "for a cup of tea" when you just have met him. He only wants one thing! - that you do his washing-up.

Others:

The Glasshouse, Clarence Esplanade

Harry Limes, Granada Rd

Special Events like Bang!, Cream and Pure Sex are announced in "Splash" and other magazines.
